Dr. Jones of Premier Spine Health & Injury, Boscobel’s Premier Chiropractic Office, explains how headaches & migraines can, and often are, related to neck pain/stiffness.
So many people come in that say, “I must have slept wrong and now my neck is killing me.” After sitting down with these people and talking to them more about their health, they reveal that they have had headaches and/or migraines for years!
This is vitally important because the nerves that come out of the neck have a direct effect on where the headaches/migraines are. So many people have “normal” headaches that are located in the forehead/temple area or behind the eyes. These types of headaches are often related to the lower neck. The headaches, stiffness or tightness that people feel at the base of their skull are related to the upper part of the neck.
